Baldur's Gate Expansion Pack
Release Date: May 6, 1999
Plugin to a very well-known RPG game, in which the story was developed and a few new elements were introduced. The fictional extension is maintained in more eruptive climates and contains complex underground, full of traps and secret passages. The authors also added about 70 objects, 20 spells and a few other interesting things.
Tales of the Sword Coast is the expansion for Baldur’s Gate. The action here is more RPG-like; there is much less exploration in search of points of interest. The labyrinths finally pose some challenge: traps, secret passages, teleportation, doppelgangers making us unsure what is true and what is false. And the monsters which are more than a match for our party. Tales of the Sword Coast is not a sequel to Baldur’s Gate, though, but merely an expansion pack. The action of the add-on takes place outside the main story and is a separate set of quests. In order to play it, Baldur’s Gate must be installed.

Baldur's Gate is a series of isometric RPGs set in the Forgotten Realms universe (created by Canadian high fantasy writer Ed Greenwood), based on modified mechanics of the second edition of Dungeons and Dragons (a role-playing game licensed by Wizards of the Coasts). The first two games and their expansions were developed by BioWare and published by Black Isle Studios. The third installment, announced nineteen years after the release of the second game, was entrusted to Larian Studios, known for its warmly received RPGs from the Divinity series.
