Bellfortis is a strategy game that combines elements of RTS titles with mechanics borrowed from the grand strategy genre. The game was developed by the independent studio Rake in Grass, which has projects such as the Jets’n’Guns series and Rampage Knights in its portfolio. The creators themselves describe it as a "more intense and less time-consuming" alternative to Total War: Medieval II and Crusader Kings III.

Story

Bellfortis takes us back to the early Middle Ages, however it recreates that time period with a slight wink. After the fall of Rome, young European kingdoms are fighting for dominance over the remaining states, also trying to repel barbarian invasions from the east and north. During the game we take the lead of one of the aspiring countries and try to guide it to victory.
