Clockwork Revolution is an FPP action RPG set in a steampunk metropolis, revolving around time travel. Though combat resembles first-person shooters, character stats play an important role.
Clockwork Revolution is a steampunk action RPG. It was developed by inXile, the creators of Wasteland 2, The Bard's Tale IV: Barrows Deep, Torment: Tides of Numenera and Wasteland 3.
The game is set in a fictional city of Avalon, full of mechanical wonders of engineering. At first glance it seems like a utopia - only seems. The protagonist discovers time travel devices, learning that Lady Ironwood, the city's current ruler, has used them to bloodily change the past and eliminate all threats to her reign. It's up to us to overthrow the tyrant.
Clockwork Revolution is a first-person action RPG. The player creates their own character, explores the city, completes quests, grows in power and fights hordes of enemies.
Combat is highly arcade and resembles an FPS, though character stats and skills are key to succeed. Time manipulation powers play a large role in the game.
The campaign offers a lot of freedom in how to approach quests, while our decisions affect how the plot goes.
The game is only playable in singleplayer.
Clockwork Revolution features appealing 3D visuals, its biggest draw being the interesting steampunk style.
