Demeo was a tactical RPG released in 2021, which was inspired by classic board-game versions of dungeon crawlers. Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked described here is a crossover set in the Forgotten Realms universe and based on the rules of Dungeons & Dragons. This game is developed by the creators of the original, the independent Swedish studio Resolution Games, along with Wizards of the Coast.

Gameplay

In Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked, the action is viewed from a bird's eye view, and the game takes place in miniature locations modeled on game boards.

Locations, races and classes

Adventures take us through places such as Neverwinter Forest or Cragmaw Castle, and we experience them as characters of different races (such as human, halfling or tiefling) and professions (paladin, mage, rogue and others).

Quests

We control a group of heroes, explore the Forgotten Realms and complete the tasks assigned to us. The game is played for high stakes, as the specter of war looms over the north, and its fate depends on the alliances we form and how we handle uncovering the conspiracies plaguing this part of Faerun.

Turn-based combat

An important role here is played by battles with opponents that take place in turn-based mode. The key to success on the battlefield is the proper positioning of heroes, skillful use of their strengths, and juggling their abilities. In addition to opponents (led by monsters), we also have to deal with traps set for us.
