Demonschool is a tactical RPG that combines turn-based battles with a sim of university student life. The player must both fight demons and attend classes, participate in student life, and develop relationships with characters.
Demonschool is a tactical RPG with turn-based combat system. The project was developed by Necrosoft Games studio, the authors of Gunhouse and Gunsport.
Action of the game takes place on the mysterious island where university is located. Demonschool tells the story of a group of students who begin their studies in this institution.
The main heroine is Faye, an heiress of the last family of demon hunters. Her family' skills will prove to be very useful, as the island becomes a place of invasion of the infernal forces.
Demonschool is a tactical RPG, so we mainly explore, complete tasks, develop characters and most of all fight.
Battles are turn-based, and during them we give orders to a group of heroes who have unique attacks and special abilities. The player first plans all his moves, coordinating actions and creating powerful multi-player combos, and then watches as his orders are carried out.
The game allows the use of many techniques that provide bonuses for the team or reduce the stats of enemies. The interactive environment also plays a crucial role in the battles - when you hit characters, they bump into nearby objects, knocking them over or destroying them.
Demonschool adds to the traditional tactical RPG gameplay the mechanics that simulate school life and establish relationships with characters, which influences the development of abilities used in battles. Each day is divided into several sections and we have to decide what our character will do in each of them. There is always not enough time to accomplish everything we want, which forces us to make difficult decisions.
Game offers only single player mode.
Demonschool features an attractive graphics inspired by 32-bit RPGs. The characters take the form of pixelated sprites, and the locations are three-dimensional but done in a retro style.

Game Ratings for Demonschool Video Game.
Game Sandwich: 8 / 10 by Amber Warnock-Estrada
Demonschool’s finely tuned combat and instantly endearing characters are big selling points. However, both are bogged down by the game’s tendency to more or less throw everything at the player without even a single moment’s warning. You might be caught off guard if you expect the marathon-like feel that is typical of JRPGs, but you’ll find yourself over the moon if you’ve always thought you’d rather go for a sprint.
Digital Chumps: 8 / 10 by Nathaniel Stevens
Demonschool from developer Necrosoft Games is a wonderful tactical turn-based fighting game that will entertain players thanks to a strong story, good strategy-led map designs, and enough characters to create multiple paths to approach fights. While it needed to be a bit less linear and more user-controlled on the story side of the tracks, it’s a fantastic experience from beginning to end.
Use a Potion: 8 / 10
Demonschool is a real joy to play, with its clever combat, likeable story, and striking visual style helping it stand out in the tactical RPG genre. Combat is nuanced and has plenty of neat ideas on show, the characters and setting give the narrative a playful energy, and the game looks gorgeous, with it certainly ticking all of the right boxes to keep me hooked in. The only downside? The sheer amount of battles can make the experience feel drawn out, and the repetition does creep in over a long playthrough. Still, there’s a lot more good than bad in Demonschool, and whilst it does have some repetitive moments, the fun and creativity showcased across the adventure ensures that it always feels special to play.
