The Paper Mario series enjoys cult status. Among its imitators is Escape from Ever After, described here, an RPG that is the fruit of cooperation between independent teams Sleepy Castle Studio and Wing-It! Creative. The creation of this item was possible thanks to, among other things, a successful crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.

Gameplay

In Escape from Ever After, we view events from the side. The adventure takes us through the picturesque outdoors, an ice-covered land, the ocean floor or an industrial complex. While wandering through the locations, we get to know the inhabitants and perform tasks for them, look for secrets hidden in them, as well as fight enemies.

Loot Level Chill: 9 / 10 by Lyle Pendle

Escape from Ever After is the Paper Mario style game I've been waiting for since the GameCube, with a seriously charming fairytale setting.

WayTooManyGames: 6.5 / 10 by Aaron Price

The characters and areas are charming, the puzzles are fun, but the combat is slacking by comparison and there’s not really any music that’s quite as memorable. Still though, this is well worth playing if you get the chance. It’s not massively long so it’s less of a time commitment by comparison, and most Paper Mario fans will be able to get into it.
