FATE: Reawakened is a compilation of remastered versions of four installments of the action RPG series. It was started by the game titled FATE, released back in 2005. In addition to the first game, the package also includes the games FATE: Undiscovered Realms (2008), FATE: The Traitor Soul (2009), and FATE: The Cursed King (2011). The compilation is the result of a collaboration between gamigo, WildTangent, and Tableflip Entertainment companies.

Gameplay

In the games included in the FATE: Reawakened compilation, the action is viewed in an isometric perspective. Wwe end up in a fantasy land, which we explore using a character we created ourselves.

Grove settlement

Our base of operations is the Grove settlement, where we return after each expedition to the surrounding dungeons. We can sell unnecessary items and stock up on more useful equipment, as well as talk to the villagers and accept quests from them.

If we fall on the battlefield, we can be brought back to life in one of three ways. Each of the methods of reviving our character has its good and bad sides, as each is associated with the necessity of incurring some cost, such as the loss of part of the accumulated experience or getting rid of part or all of the acquired gold.

Dungeons and gameplay features

The gameplay is diversified by the fact that the dungeons we visit are procedurally generated. Thanks to this, it is impossible to come across two identical underground locations. During breaks from dangerous adventures, we can devote ourselves to a slightly more prosaic activity, which is fishing. Incidentally, we can fish out valuable artifacts, jewels, or rings from the water.

Refreshed graphics

Individual games included in the FATE: Reawakened collection stand out from their originals primarily due to the refreshed graphics. The authors of the remasters increased the resolution, and also introduced directional lighting and ambient occlusion.
