Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles is a love letter to fans and a gateway for new players to enter the series. It retains the original design while incorporating modern conveniences to enhance it. The story of power, betrayal, and ideals remains the best, and the combat system remains the best for tactical RPGs.

Cloud Dosage: 4.3 / 5 by Jon Scarr

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles brings back a legend with smoother battles, smarter story tools, and the same brutal fights. The job system still rocks, the new tweaks save time, and the voice acting gives cutscenes more punch. Not every visual lands and some extras are missing, but this is the one I’d recommend every time.

Eurogamer: 5 / 5 by Dom Peppiatt

The politically-charged 1997 PlayStation original is one of the finest tactics games of all time. This remaster offers a brilliant new reading of what was already a classic text.
