Foundry is a first-person simulation game, in which we must create a factory and fully automate it. The game was developed by Channel 3 Entertainment, featuring a procedurally generated, voxel-based open world and multiplayer.

Mechanics

Foundry has us playing as a robot, traversing an alien planet, equipped only with a scanner and a drill. The former is used to find mineral deposits, while the latter is used to extract them. Our ultimate goal is to create a self-sufficient sci-fi-like facility.

Initially, we must gather resources ourselves, using them to create materials and construct buildings. Over time, we can start researching new technologies and automating our factory. As the facility develops, we must also keep logistics in mind, planning out the layout of production lines and pipelines. For our machines to operate at full capacity, they require a steady supply of energy.
