Foundry is a first-person factory builder where you control a tireless machine in a procedurally generated voxel world. Unleash your creativity and design without limits. Build colossal factories, automate production lines, and become the master of your industrial domain. Forge your workshops from the ground up, alone or with friends, to conquer complex logistics challenges. Foundry will be released on May 2nd, 2024, in Early Access on Steam, but will it ever come out on Xbox and PlayStation consoles?

Foundry Xbox, PS4, PS5 Console Release

As for now, Foundry will only be releasing on Steam. Paradox Interactive has yet to make any official announcements about the game’s potential availability on PlayStation and Xbox platforms, but it’s possible that Foundry will come to consoles in the future.

When asked approximately how long will this game be in Early Access, the developers said:

We don't know yet, we don't want to commit to a certain date. The game will leave Early Access when the game has satisfied our high expectations for quality and amount of content. We expect to stay in Early Access for more than a year.

Why the above is important? Foundry might come to consoles later, likely only after a full release (version 1.0). Early Access titles typically prioritize PC development first to gather feedback and optimise the game, before focusing on porting the game to consoles. Computer release is also a test to check how many players are interested in the game.
