GORN 2 is a sequel of the 2019 action adventure game. Just like its predecessor, it was created with VR headsets in mind. The game was developed by the same Free Lives studio (which also has such titles as Broforce, Genital Jousting or Terra Nil in its portfolio). This was done in cooperation with the Cortopia team.

Gameplay

In GORN 2 we watch the action from a first-person perspective (FPP).

Bloody journey in the heavens

During the game, we once again take on the role of a gladiator, who this time ends up in a heavenly kingdom. Apart from all the opponents he has defeated in the previous game, the divine sons who are the local champions are also waiting for him there. Faced with such a challenge, he has no choice but to take up arms and fight for his life.

Fighting in the arenas

Combat is the main element of the gameplay. The game takes to different arenas. We must eliminate hordes of enemies, making use of melee weapons and ranged weapons, and sometimes also the protagonist's fists. The clashes are dynamic, and the key to success on the battlefield is landing accurate blows and avoiding attacks, as well as dodging traps. Apart from regular adversaries, much more powerful bosses stand in our way.

CGMagazine: 10 / 10 by Justin Wood

While the original GORN was a standout VR title for its time, GORN 2 is miles above it in almost every conceivable way. It doesn't just hold up-it dominates.

Game Rant: 5 / 10 by Dalton Cooper

Gorn 2 is more of the same, which means it offers plenty of over-the-top violence, but there's not much beyond the silly combat.
