I, the Inquisitor is a game developed by the independent Polish studio The Dust. The title is the first major project of this Wroclaw-based team; earlier the team specialized in smaller games created for mobile devices.

I, the Inquisitor was created based on what is known as The Inquisitor Cycle. This is a series of novels set in an alternative reality, where Jesus Christ descended from the cross to take revenge on His persecutors. It is worth noting that the creator of the original took an active part in the creation of the described project. The player takes on the role of an Inquisitor and ends up in a gloomy city modelled on medieval metropolises to spread the good news (though not entirely). During the game, conversations with NPCs play an important role; our emotions, actions and words have an impact on how NPCs perceive us.
