An adventure game from Double Fine Productions studio, known for games such as Stacking and Psychonauts. In Keeper we play as a living lighthouse and its bird friend. The story is told without saying any words and we have to deal with various environmental puzzles when exploring the forgotten island.
Keeper is an adventure game developed by Double Fine Productions under the supervision of Lee Petty, whose portfolio includes such games as Stacking, HeadLander, RAD, and Psychonauts.
The game allows us to watch the action from various "cinematic" shots. During the game, we take control of an animated lighthouse and its accompanying bird. The protagonists explore various locations, overcoming terrain obstacles, as well as solving environmental puzzles. All of this most often requires their close cooperation. As we progress, we push forward the story told without using words.
Keeper transports us to a surreal world, specifically - to an island dominated by a high peak. The main character of the game is a long-forgotten lighthouse, which comes to life when withering tentacles start spreading around the area. Our protagonist sets off on a journey into the depths of the island, accompanied by a seabird, which over time becomes its true friend.

At gamescom I had the opportunity to see the latest game from Double Fine - Keeper. In keeping with the spirit of the studio responsible for, among other things, the Psychonauts series, we will be dealing with a very unusual title that follows its own path - just like its characters.

Slightly above average or simply inoffensive. Fans of the genre should enjoy them a bit, but a fair few will be left unfulfilled. Keeper is less a game than it is a playable art exhibit with light puzzle elements. But it's short and digestible, very pretty to look at, and satisfying enough to justify playing it if you have an active Game Pass subscription.
IGN: 9 / 10 by Sarah Thwaites
Exploring Keeper’s surreal world is a feast for the senses, with every detail from its propulsive score to its Seussian flora and fauna pulling me deeper into its tale.
Game Rant: 6 / 10 by Cameron Swan
Keeper is an absolutely gorgeous game, but in terms of gameplay, it might be the most bland entry in Double Fine's catalogue yet.
