Lacuna - A Sci-Fi Noir Adventure is a 2D science fiction and noir adventure game. This is another indie game released by Assemble Entertainment, and it was developed by the German studio DigiTales Interactive.

Plot

As the title suggests, Lacuna - A Sci-Fi Noir Adventure takes us into the distant future, to a huge metropolis where a high-profile murder occurs. Lacuna is a rare gem that everyone ought to give a try. The plot is immersive, the gameplay is innovative, and the ambiance is spot-on. The game may not tickle everyone’s fancy, but – trust me – this is a game you need to experience whether you enjoy the niche or not.

Digital Chumps: 7.5 / 10 by Steven McGehee

Overall, Lacuna is an interesting adaptation on the traditional point-and-click gameplay design. Though my interest in the characters and story plateaued around the halfway point of the game, they are both pretty well thought out and your mileage/interest in them may fair better than mine. At $20, it’s worth a look for fans of sci-fi noir adventure games.

Last Word on Gaming: 9 / 10 by Matt Jarvis

Lacuna is one of the best examples of point and click, adventure, puzzle and detective gaming I have played for I don’t know how long. From the mysteries changing to the multiple endings and the sound and visuals, this is truly an absolute gem of a game and one that deserves its place in your collection.
