Mandragora is a hybrid of an action RPG and a platform game. It was developed by Primal Game Studio, the authors of MOBA Supernova.

Plot

The game takes us to the dark fantasy land, which is slowly being devoured by the forces of Entropy. In this universe humanity has resigned itself to its fate and does not try to save the world. Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree Review: Short of a screaming success

While Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree reads well on paper and boasts an intriguing premise, it stumbles in execution, delivering a game that needs more polish to truly shine as the next great Soulslike Metroidvania.

There's a lot to love about Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree from its expansive and diverse map to its brutal boss fights that'll thoroughly test your character build. Its combat could definitely benefit from a bit more complexity, though. ??

Analog Stick Gaming: 9 / 10 by Jeff M Young

Primal Game Studio has crafted one of my favorite games this year, an experience that seemingly came out of nowhere. With a flexible class system, and wonderful level design, as well as a host of deeply challenging boss encounters, it's the best Metroidvania since Metroid Dread, a title I cherish as a near-perfect experience. Mandragora has its flaws, and some are more apparent than others, but ultimately is a wonderful new addition to the genre, and an absolute must-play.
