Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is an action adventure game developed by Skydance New Media studio led by Amy Hennig - a veteran screenwriter and director known for her work on such series as Legacy of Kain and Uncharted. The game takes advantage of the capabilities offered by Unreal Engine 5.4.
The plot of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra takes place during World War II in occupied Paris. The story focuses on attempts to stop the growing power of the Hydra organization. There are four playable characters - Captain America, Azzuri as the early Black Panther, as well as the soldier Gabriel Jones belonging to the Howling Commandos unit and Nanali, a spy from Wakanda. Supported by Julie, who belongs to the resistance movement, and the brilliant scientist Howard Stark, they will be forced to forget about their mutual animosities in order to jointly deal with the upcoming danger.
The main characters of the game were given voices and appearances by famous actors: Drew Moerlein (Captain America), Khary Payton (Black Panther), Marque Richardson (Gabriel Jones) and Megalyn Echikunwoke (Nanali). Composer Stephen Barton (Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Apex Legends) is responsible for the soundtrack.
