The game was planned to be a direct sequel of Legacy of Kain: Defiance, allowing us once again to play as the vampire Kain.

A free-to-play third-person action game designed mainly with multiplayer gameplay in mind. The title is set in the universe known from the cult Legacy of Kain series, although the story is unrelated to the previous games. The game was created by a small studio Psyonix, who worked on the multiplayer modes for games like Bulletstorm, Gears of War, or Mass Effect 3. In the game you can play as either a human or a vampire, fighting in a war for control over the world. Depending on the faction you choose, gameplay looks slightly different, as the humans prefer to use advanced technology in combat, while vampires rely on their special powers. Each side offers three character classes and experience-based character progression system. As the creators intended, the micropayment system used in the game is rather modest and the transactions give no one an upper hand in combat.

Legacy of Kain holds a special place in the hearts of many gamers. Blood Omen 2, on the other hand, often comes out as that least-loved installment. Perhaps well deserved, but it's still a pretty interesting action-adventure game.

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain Aged Better Than Soul Reaver. That's the Cornerstone of This Legendary Series
Fans of Cain and Raziel have reason to rejoice, as we will most likely get a remaster of Soul Reaver. On this occasion, it is worth firing up the first Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain. It's still a great game that has aged the best of the series.
