Nine Sols PC

Nine Sols is an action platform game. It was developed by Red Candle Games, whose portfolio includes Detention and Devotion.

Plot

Nine Sols takes us on a journey to the original world, with elements of Taoism and Far East mythology combined with solutions characteristic for cyberpunk. The game takes place in New Kunlun - a kingdom protected by sacred rituals, whose inhabitants worship ancient deities. During the game we play as Yi - forgotten hero burning with desire of vengeance against divine rulers of this land. With time we learn more and more about New Kunlun, getting to know dark secrets of its builders.

Game mechanics

In Nine Sols we observe the action from the side. Fights with enemies are the most important part of the game. Designing the combat system, the authors drew inspiration from the bestseller Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. During battles we have to show dexterity and reflexes to deflect enemy attacks and make quick counterattacks; besides, we have a magic talisman at our disposal, which allows us to get rid of enemies in a truly explosive style, as well as a bow allowing us to eliminate them from a safe distance. Apart from regular enemies, much more powerful bosses stand in our way, defeating them requires learning their movement patterns and discovering their weaknesses.

Exploration of New Kunlun also requires jumping on platforms and avoiding traps, as well as interacting with its inhabitants. It's worth talking to NPCs, because in this way we gain access to new skills and various upgrades that increase our combat potential.
