Pokemon Legends: Z-A Expansion Pack
Release Date: December 10, 2025
The first major expansion for Pokemon Legends: Z-A. In the Mega Dimension DLC, we find ourselves in an alternate version of Lumiose City, where our Pokemon can reach level 100 and undergo Mega Evolutions.
In October 2025, Game Freak studio released Pokemon Legends: Z-A - an RPG game from the ninth generation of the main Pokemon series. Mega Dimension described here is the first major expansion for this production, created by the developers of the base version.
The biggest innovation introduced in Pokemon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension is the so-called hyperspace, which is a parallel reality. An alternative version of Lumiose City awaits to be visited, inhabited by Pokemon that are hard to find in the standard version of the city. It can be reached through portals opened by the Pokemon Hoopa belonging to the pastry chef Ansha.
The girl, along with her companion, are our guides during the exploration of this dimension full of mysteries. The donuts she prepares provide various effects in hyperspace, such as strengthening our Pokemon and various powers useful in battles with powerful, high-level creatures.
Besides that, other allies appear here, such as Korrina, who is involved in searching for Pokemon after Mega Evolutions, and Team MZ, with whom we can explore the mysteries of hyperspace.
In hyperspace, creatures can exceed the hundredth experience level. Additionally, we can encounter newly discovered "mega evolutions" of Pokemon here. To enable our creatures to evolve into "Mega" versions, we need so-called Mega Stones.
As for the mega evolutions themselves – Mega Chimecho creates six of its copies and unleashes a powerful sound attack, while Baxcalibur generates greater ice energy and attacks with a larger, more destructive blade. There are also mega evolutions such as Mega Zeraora, Mega Chesnaughtite, Mega Delphoxite, Mega Grenijite, as well as Mega Malamar, Mega Hawlucha, and Mega Victreebel.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension is a non-standalone expansion pack, so it requires the base version of the game Pokemon Legends: Z-A.

Yeah, probably not. But there is one new detail from today's Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A that looks surprisingly similar to that statue.

Game Ratings for Pokemon Legends: Z-A - Mega Dimension Video Game.
TheSixthAxis: 7 / 10 by Stefan L
If you enjoyed the base game like I did, the best bits of Pokémon Legends: Z-A are still present in Mega Dimension. The combat is still engaging, the characters you live and work with are still endearing, and the new Pokédex is fun to complete. This DLC, much like Z–A itself, feels like it will be a Marmite one.
Loot Level Chill: 8 / 10 by Lyle Pendle
While maybe not as spectacular as the main story, Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimensions adds loads of content and Pokémon to the game.
Cubed3: 6 / 10 by Jorge Ba-oh
Pokémon Legends: Z-A - Mega Dimension offers a challenge for experienced trainers wanting to push those battle skills to the limits. Beyond level 100 critters for the first time? Check. It's tough and requires a fair bit of grind to get through the new Mega Evolution battles. Returning faces from the Pokédex and new forms are a joy to catch, too. Mega Dimension is ideal for battle enthusiasts and competitionists, but can fast become repetitive with little payoff to really keep pushing through once the favourites have been caught.
