Developed by Digital Dreams Entertainment, Mutant Football League is a spiritual successor to a 1993 game under the same title released on Sega Mega Drive. The nuclear war, which took place years before the events presented in the game, has led to the extinction of the majority of human population. To make things even worse, the cataclysm has caused dead bodies to rise from their graves, demons to leave their underground lairs, and living creatures to mutate. The new inhabitants of the planet did not abandon numerous forms of entertainment, including the titular Mutant Football League – a parody of American football. Player’s goal is to win a season comprising 13 matches. When conventional methods fail, one can appeal to some dirty tricks like bribing the referee. Due to the nature of this sport, the matches can be very brutal. One can command the titular mutants, aliens, animated skeletons, battle droids, and football players that came straight from hell. The players can utilize a wide arsenal of weapons (featuring knuckle-dusters, battle-axes, chainsaws, and even grenades) along with numerous special abilities. Among the peculiar features of the game, one can find the system of traps, mines, lava pools and toxic clouds ever-present on the football field. Additionally, the changing weather system affects the game with its acid rains and violent storms.

A sequel to a fantasy sports game, in which various races from the popular Warhammer universe compete in an extremely brutal version of American football. The game was developed by the creators of the first part, Cyanide Studio. The story mode features a new, extensive campaign, in which you take the role of a manager of one of the oldest and most successful teams of the Old World – Reikland Reavers. General gameplay rules remained unchanged, however, the creators heeded to the fans’ suggestions and included lots of innovations and improvements. A brand new graphics engine was designed solely for this game, introducing enhanced visuals and animations, as well as a dynamic camera system. The game follows the distinctive convention of a show broadcasted on Cabal Vision, the official Blood Bowl television, and the matches are casted by a likable duet of a vampire and an ogre. Of course, the developers did not forget about competitive multiplayer.

Another annual installment belonging to a popular sports franchise developed by Electronic Arts and advertised with the name of the legendary American football player, trainer and commentator - John Madden. When it comes to the gameplay itself, the game makes a step forward on the line of the franchise's development, combining traditional and successful mechanics with a portion of new features, making the experience more enjoyable. In production of this installment, the creators were focused on expanding the Franchise career mode and making it better in general. In this mode, the player leads their team through subsequent seasons, taking responsibility for all the aspects related to how the team functions. Above all, it is worth mentioning that the game features new controls for the ball keeper, as well as improved AI of defensive formations. As usual, the game offers a complete set of licensed teams and detailed statistics describing particular players. Another installment in the popular (especially in the USA) sports game series developed and published by Electronic Arts. Traditionally, the game allows us to control the NFL league players; however, it also features several modifications. Most importantly, EA Tiburon has implemented a full-fledged story campaign into Madden NFL 18, entitled Longshot. One gets to follow the story of a formerly promising NFL player, who after several years of break decides to reclaim his status and become a pro. Moreover, the developers have decided to base this installment of the Madden NFL series on the Frostbite engine also used i.a. in Battlefield 1 and FIFA 18. Among the novelties in the game, there is the Target Passing system and three new gameplay modes - the spectacular Arcade, the realistic Simulation, and Competitive, which is a combination of the previous two. Madden NFL 18 allows one to play either solo or in a multiplayer mode, including the popular Ultimate Team mode, in which we have to collect players cards and assemble teams out of them.
