South of Midnight

South of Midnight is a third-person action adventure game. It was developed by Compulsion Games, the creators of We Happy Few and Contrast.

Plot

The game is heavily inspired by southern USA folklore. We play as Hazel, a supernatural tragedy in her hometown turning her into a Weaver, a warrior able to reconnect severed magical ties and calm angry spirits. Using her powers, she faces dangerous creatures and learns the secrets of her family.

Mechanics

South of Midnight is a TPP action adventure game. The player must explore the world, solve puzzles and fight various enemies.

Game modes

The game only supports singleplayer.

Technical aspects

South of Midnight features unusual 3D visuals reminiscent of stop motion animated movies.
