Gameplay

In Subnautica 2 the action is viewed from the first-person perspective (FPP). The game puts at our disposal a vast underwater world, where we can find a variety of locations - from high cliffs, through coral fields, to mysterious ruins. During their exploration, our main concern should be the supply of life-giving oxygen, which ensures our survival. Additionally, on our forearm we can find is a scanner that is a source of information about encountered creatures (among them we will find both small fish and gigantic leviathans), plants or objects.

In addition to this, we collect various resources along the way. The materials we acquire are essential for our survival. We use resources for crafting, which allows you to create submarines that improve exploration, as well as produce increasingly advanced tools. Over time, the aforementioned scanner or flashlight illuminating the darkness are no longer sufficient, and if we want to conduct extensive research and develop, we need a biosampler for taking samples.

The game also allows us to build our own base of operations, which serves as both a hideout and a command center. It is worth noting that the authors decided to expand the construction system, which improves adapting bases to our individual needs and preferences.

As we progress, we develop the character's genetics, thanks to which over time we become better adapted to the conditions prevailing on this oceanic globe.

Co-op

Subnautica 2 allows to play alone or in co-op mode over the Internet.
