Story

In the present, we take control over Sarah Connor and T-800, who are fighting with T-1000, trying to stop Skynet's plans for the annihilation of humanity. Apart from that, from time to time we are transported to a post-apocalyptic future, where as John Connor we lead the resistance movement to fight against the machines.

Terminator 2D: No Fate shines as a piece of homage to Terminator 2. A wonderful recreation of one of James Cameron’s best, that looks and sounds superb. The gameplay of No Fate is fun for the first few times you play through its campaign, though lasting appeal might falter when you have seen the three endings.

Push Square: 8 / 10 by John Hansen

Terminator 2D: No Fate is a nostalgic throwback to the time when Terminator 2: Judgement Day was released, and it feels very authentic to that. The shooting and action carry this game, making it feel like it was a tie-in released alongside the movie, but the short length and repetitive nature of it may weigh on some people and cause some questioning of its price tag. Regardless, even if you have never watched any of the Terminator movies, you may come away enjoying what this game is in its short spurts.

Wolf's Gaming Blog: 3.5 / 5 by Baden Ronie

Terminator 2D: No Fate is uncompromisingly retro, for better and for worse. It doesn’t just borrow the aesthetics of 90s action games — it fully commits to their structure, their difficulty, and their occasional rough edges. If that style clicks with you, there’s a lot to love here: tight level design, a genuine affection for T2, and enough challenge to keep repeat runs engaging. If it doesn’t, the stiffness and repetition will quickly wear thin.
