The Expanse: A Telltale Series is a narrative adventure game set in the world of a popular novel/TV series. The game's protagonist is Drummer, a returning character from the previous works, facing a rebellion aboard a spaceship.
The Expanse: A Telltale Series is an episodic narrative adventure game. It was co-developed by Telltale Games (The Wolf Among Us: A Telltale Games Series, Batman: The Telltale Series, The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series) and Deck Nine (Life is Strange: True Colors, Life is Strange: Before the Storm).
As the title suggests, the game is based on The Expanse, a franchise originating from a series of sci-fi novels by James S.A. Corey and then further developed in a TV series of the same name.
The game's protagonist is a returning character, Camina Drummer. The Expanse: A Telltale Series begins with her serving as an officer on board the ship Artemis. Once the crew rebels, Drummer must restore order to the ship before losing control.
The Expanse: A Telltale Series is a narrative adventure game, revolving around exploration, conversation and decisions. The game is heavily non-linear, the plot being shaped by our choices and decisions.
More variety is added by simple arcade and puzzle challenges.
The game only supports singleplayer.
The Expanse: A Telltale Series features fully 3D visuals, using a slightly cartoonish artstyle. A big selling point for the fans of the franchise may be the return of Cara Gee, the actress who played Drummer in the TV series.

Game Ratings for The Expanse: A Telltale Series Video Game.
PCGamesN: 8 / 10 by Anthony McGlynn
The Expanse: A Telltale Series brings one of the best storytellers in videogames back to the forefront, producing a prequel that will delight fans as well as open up the universe to newcomers.
Metro GameCentral: 6 / 10 by Adam Starkey
An affectionately crafted prequel to The Expanse which, while worthwhile for fans, fails to evolve Telltale's tired gameplay design in any meaningful manner.
TheGamer: 3.5 / 5 by Harry Alston
Overall, fans of The Expanse will enjoy this story. I’m curious about what happens in the next couple of episodes, and that’s exactly the sort of narrative pull that I was looking for. But you might also get frustrated with the game at times - it’s not a flawless experience by any means, and I really wanted more from it.
