A sequel to the 2002 online multiplayer FPS game developed by DICE. As its title suggests, Battlefield Vietnam takes place during the Vietnam War, allowing you to play as a member of the U.S. Army or a Vietnamese soldier, and participate in the series of battles spanning from 1964 to 1975. The mechanics of the game are virtually the same as its predecessor's, being a combination of strategy with FPS elements.

As the title suggests, the action takes place in Vietnam, where you assume the roles of American or Vietnamese soldiers. The mechanics do not differ considerably from those in the previous installment and once again emphasize realism. Due to the different historical period and realities of the conflict presented, the game now features choppers, booby-traps, and machine guns.

This time around, the players can take part in the Vietnam War, fought in years 1955-1975 by US-backed South Vietnam and North Vietnam, supported in turn by the Communist Bloc. Both sides of the conflict have their separate story campaigns.
