Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord: How to recruit companions?

The companions in Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord perform an extremely important role. Above all, they are full-fledged heroes - they not only increase the overall number of soldiers on the battlefield, but also have powerful skills at their disposal. For example, a companion with a highly developed skill of Medicine can successfully become a doctor of your party. Companions can also replace you in some quests which you have to complete for other NPCs. For these reasons, it is worth adding a companion to your team as soon as possible. How to recruit companions?

Potential companions usually stay in taverns and inns.

Companions in Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord can always be found in the inn. Travel to any city and visit a tavern (you don't have to enter it, you just have to choose the tavern option in the campaign mode) - if there is at least one potential companion in that particular inn, you will see him on the list, as in the picture above. Click on the companion icon to talk to him.

A recruited companion becomes a member of your clan.

In the conversation you will learn a short history of the character and the price of joining your team. If you decide to pay, the companion will immediately appear in the ranks of your party. From now on, he will be a member of your clan. You can assign him some tasks and quests or order him to lead a caravan.
