CD Projekt Red does not allow us to forget about Cyberpunk 2077. Since its release back in 2020, we have received an expansion entitled Phantom Liberty, an anime spinoff Edgerunners, which is soon to receive a sequel, and a host of smaller (yet significant) updates for the core game. The most recent version 2.3 is not a dream come true for some fans, yet it provides a lot of new content, some of which is still not discovered by players, which makes the creator “disappointed.” One of the most desired parts of the patch is undoubtedly vehicles. If you are a fan of travelling with style through the streets of Night City, Rayfield Caliburn “Mordred” might have caught your eye. To own this car, however, some extra work is required. Here you will find everything that is needed to get your hands on this ride.

How to get Rayfield Caliburn “Mordred” in Cyberpunk 2077

The vast, retrofuturistic vision of the world in Cyberpunk 2077, based on works of Mike Pondsmith, leaves a lot of room for some original creations that fit well into this dystopian, yet beautiful environment. The developers from CD Projekt Red seem to be just as passionate about the universe as the fans and are constantly adding new features to their game for free. The last 2.3 update introduces 4 new vehicles, among many other changes detailed in the official patch notes. Those also unveil the mystery of unlocking them, including Rayfield Caliburn “Mordred.”

The requirements of obtaining the new drive are straightforward – simply finish the following side jobs:

  1. The Beast in Me: Badlands,
  2. The Beast in Me: Santo Domingo,
  3. Transmission,
  4. Search and Destroy.

Once you complete them (if you have already done that just wait some time), you will receive a new “Special biz opportunity” from Muamar "El Capitan" Reyes. It will start a new quest called Freedom. During this mission you will be able to unlock Rayfield Caliburn “Mordred.”

It shouldn’t be a surprise that this car is highly demanded, as it’s the first armored sports car in CP2077. Due to that it offers not only speed but also protection. However, update 2.3 gives more options to transverse the streets of Night City, as you will be able to obtain Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru, an iconic set of wheels seen in the Kickdown comic, a customizable motorcycle Yaiba ASM-R250 Muramasa, and a cherry on top – weaponized truck Chevillon Legatus 450 Aquila. Thanks to this variety, everyone should find something that suits their tastes.

Despite the fact that the sequel for Cyberpunk 2077 is under development, the creators still keep the first installment of the series alive, enriching it with free content patches. We can be fairly certain that this is not the last update for this game, so keep an eye out on CDPR’s social media like X, join the official Discord server, and follow the latest news updates on CP’s website. Have fun!
