AC Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok's Map Will be 1/3 the Size of England

Dawn of Ragnarok showcase provided us with a lot of interesting information. It turns out that the new expansion for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla can boast of scope that could put many full-fledged games to shame.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • Dawn of Ragnarok will provide about 35 hours of fun;
  • The expansion will offer a map the size of 1/3 of England from the base game;
  • In the game we'll use many new skills, such as teleportation or resurrecting enemies.

Yesterday the first trailer of the new expansion for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla appeared online. We must admit that it looks really impressive, but - at least at first glance - does not reveal too much about the expansion itself. Fortunately, the developers held a special presentation and shared with us much more information.

First of all, we found out how big the upcoming Dawn of Ragnarok will be. The new expansion will provide as much as 35 hours of fun, thus surpassing many full-fledged productions. The map, which we will explore, will be 1/3 of the size of England from the base game.

In the expansion we will help the Norse god Odin find his son, Baldur. For this purpose, we will travel to Svartalfheim. Once there, we discover that the mythical land of dwarves was attacked by an enemy and its inhabitants hid. Odin will have to find them, because they play an essential role in his mission.

During the game we'll battle ice giants from Jotunheim again. This time, however, enemy forces will be supported by fiery warriors from Muspelheim, led by Surtr. He is the most powerful opponent Odin has ever faced. It will certainly be a big challenge for the players.

In combat, we'll use new skills possessed by the protagonist (the players will also be able to play as a female version of Odin). We'll be able to change into a raven, as well as use the fire and ice abilities of our enemies. The ability of teleportation with a bow will help us move fast. Odin will also be able to revive defeated enemies to have them stand at his side.

If the main storyline will not be enough for you, the creators will also offer additional activities. Players will be able to check their skills on new arenas in Valkyrie challenges.

The expansion is scheduled for release on March 10.
