Bully 2 Said to Have Been Shown to a Select Few - Rumors Resurge

Rumors about Bully 2 are back and claim that Rockstar recently showed an early version of the game to a select few.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Rumors have surfaced that Bully 2 is in the pipeline;
  2. Reportedly, Rockstar has already organized a presentation for selected people from the industry;
  3. The game was supposed to be shown at The Game Awards 2021, but something didn't work out;
  4. Reports are very chaotic, however, and it is unknown whether there something's actually up.

The latest rumors offer hope for the return of the Bully franchise. According to these reports, Rockstar Games is said to be preparing Bully 2. What's more, work on the project is very advanced - so much so that a few weeks ago the devs allegedly organized a presentation of the early version for selected people from the industry.

The source of these reports is Tom Henderson, a proven leaker who focuses on the Call of Duty and Battlefield series. He stresses that he himself has not seen the project in action, but apparently trusts the people from whom he obtained this information so much that he sees no problem in passing it on.

According to Henderson, the reveal of Bully 2 was supposed to be one of the big surprises at The Game Awards 2021, but ultimately Rockstar Games changed its plans. It's worth mentioning that the leaker isn't the only source to information that something is going on around the brand. Blake Hestey, editor of Game Informer, teased something on his Twitter account, of which many people thought was the second part of the series. He quickly removed the image and switched his entire profile to private, but before that many people managed to take a screen shot of this message.

Another journalist from Game Informer, Alex Van Aken, tried to calm the moods by assuring that Hastey's post was not about Bully 2. All this makes it hard to say whether Rockstar Games really has a sequel in mind. It's possible that it's in production, but has been delayed. The devs may also work on a refreshed version of the original, kept in the style of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, and Hastey may have inadvertently suggested in his tweet that we're dealing with a sequel, not the return of the first part in refreshed form.

While waiting for official announcements, it is worth going back to the first game. Especially on PC it is an attractive proposition, as a lot of interesting mods were released to improve Bully. The FIXER PACK combines the most important fixes, including support for widescreen resolutions, fixing the most important bugs, as well as enabling us to manually set the maximum fps and FOV value. The Extended Draw Distance mod forces the engine to generate objects at a significant distance, and the Bully HQ Texture Overhaul Mod improves texture quality.

Fans of Bully have learned from experience to be cautious about reports of a sequel. Rumors have appeared many times, including in 2009, 2011, 2017 and 2019. Some time ago, great emotions were sparked by reports according to which the project was in development, but was canceled four years ago. In turn, last month there was a big commotion about Take-Two Interactive abandoning the project, which was supposed to cost $53 million. Some people suspect that it may have been Bully 2.
