Age of Empires 4 Open Tests This Weekend

This weekend we will be able to test Age of Empires 4 for free thanks to the so-called Technical Stress Test.

There is over a month left until the release of Age of Empires IV, the latest installment of the classic historical RTS series. It turns out, however, that as early as this week we will have the opportunity to check out this title through open tests.

The testing will begin next Friday, September 17 at 10 AM PT time and will end on September 20 (Monday). This will be the so-called Technical Stress Test - the main purpose of the event is to enable the devs to check how the game servers cope under heavy load. That's why the tests are open and will last only a few days - the creators want to maximize the number of users playing at the same time.

The tests will be focused mainly on multiplayer battles, but we'll also check single matches against AI and the tutorial. There will be four civilizations to choose from (the English, the Chinese, the Holy Roman Empire and the Abbasids), which will face each other on five maps.

Technical Stress Test of Age of Empires IV will be available through the Xbox Insider Hub app and on Steam. Before proceeding to the tests it is worth to familiarize yourself with the game's system requirements.

Age of Empires IV is coming exclusively to PC and will be released on October 28. this year.
