Lightsaber Fights Have Special Meaning in Ahsoka; Show's Star Explains
Ahsoka will be the next show from the Star Wars universe. A sizable group of fans is certainly looking forward to the lightsaber fights. The star of the show promises that they have a special meaning.
No doubt Ahsoka is one of the productions eagerly awaited by Star Wars fans. No wonder, since the main character has already made herself known in her previous appearances as a very well-trained warrior, for whom lightsaber combat is nothing difficult.
It is this aspect that is one of the show's most anticipated elements. If the words of Natasha Liu Bordizzo, i.e. the show's Sabine Wren, are to be believed, these scenes will be saturated with emotion and will be quite meaningful. The actress recently gave an interview to Entertainment Weekly, during which she was asked about this very issue.
"Sometimes you do stunts in projects and it seems that it's meant more for having fun with the action, which of course is fine. But every action scene in our show is very, very connected with the story. Every move is extremely well thought out, to the point where you can comment on how a particular move did or didn't fit Sabine. Everything is intentional, and I hope this will be reflected on screen."
In many movies or TV shows, action scenes have a simple task - to entertain the viewer. On the occasion of a lightsaber fight, the creators can show off their ingenuity. After all, each fighter is characterized by individual fighting style, each movement and the weight of the blow can reflect the emotions of those involved in the fight.
Will Ahsoka really show lightsaber duels that are vital to the story shown on screen? We will find out on August 23, 2023. The show will be available to watch on Disney+.
