Biggest Leak in Apex Legends History; 9 New Legends Revealed

All indications are that a few hours ago, we have witnessed the biggest leak of information in the history of Apex Legends.

A link was posted on ApexUncovered subreddit, leading to a folder with several gigabyte of data, containing, among other things, videos showing the new characters, maps, weapons and cosmetic elements that supposedly are to appear in the game in the coming months or years to come.

New maps

Divided Moon is to be big map for battle royale mode. Hovering over it are gigantic rocks, reminiscent of the Hallelujah Mountains from James Cameron's Avatar . Above them you can see the rings of a giant planet.

1. We can find here places like Kinetic Battery, Terraformer or Bionomics Gardens.
2. The western part of the map is a raw stone wasteland adapted for construction, while in the east we can find a lot of green areas and bodies of water.
3. There are train tracks spread around the map.

Titanfall-like maps

Five maps for the arena mode have also been leaked. In terms of design, they resemble those known from the Titanfall series.

1. Most of the revealed maps are not fully finished.
2. One of them looks like a factory/warehouse of the Hammond Robotics corporation (it is almost entirely textured).

New modes

There are many indications that a classic Capture the Flag mode will be added to the game.

New Legends

Here's the list of characters that are supposedly coming to the game, along with their distinctive skills:

1. Conduct (support) - his skills focus on regenerating his own and his companions' shields.
2. Scryer (scout) - his special ability is a wall of darkness, which blocks the vision of enemies. He also has access to a killcam.
3. Caliber (support) - can carry three weapons.
4. Jester (no role) - has a special force field that gives invisibility, and is also able to turn any grenade into a proximity mine.
5. Phantom (support) - can perform a double jump.
6. Vantage (scout) - when you point the viewfinder at an enemy, it can read their exact shield level, nickname and the number of squads they belong to, and measure the distance to them.
7. Uplink (defensive) - his special skill is a force field that prevents him from knocking down his companions from a distance.
8. Newcastle (defensive) - can move knocked down comrades and heal them behind an energy shield. His model is almost ready - it is possible that it will be released to the players soon.
9. Catalyst (defensive) - can build simple structures from a special gel.

New weapons

On the leaked materials, we can also see a new assault rifle - Nemesis - most likely firing bursts of energy ammunition.

1. We've also seen a new module for weapons in the form of a detachable laser sight..
2. More guns are probably in the pipeline, such as the Scorpion automatic bow/crossbow and the Fanatic double-barreled pistol, which is reminiscent of the plasma pistol from the Halo series. The models of these guns are not ready yet.

Changes to the maps

The Storm Point map will most likely will gain new buildings and in the middle of the Mill location there will be the corpse of a giant creature (which we will be able to enter).

1. King's Canyon will regain Skull City.

Controversy

On the revealed materials there is a watermark of a netizen by the handle KralRindo. Therefore, many blame him for all the confusion. Reddit community is convinced, however, that he is not behind the whole affair, but one Ag420. However, at the moment there is no evidence for this.

1. At this point, Respawn Entertainment (the developers of the game) has not issued a statement regarding this matter.
2. Many files contained in the leak are still under analysis. It's possible that in the near future we will learn even more details about the - allegedly - planned content for Apex Legends.

New heirloom sets

Naturally, a whole bunch of skins and emotes have also made their way to the web. Details on this subject can be found scattered across the aforementioned Reddit thread.
