Apple's new patent offers solutions that will enable users to effectively use the 5G network to stream gameplay image. According to the company, the new technology introduced by mobile operators requires additional efforts to ensure the quality and responsiveness of game streaming. Will owners of iPhone 12 (and other Apple 5G-supporting devices) be able to play the latest PC and console games on their phones?

The source of this message is an information published on Apple Patently. Description of the service, which is the subject of the patent looks as follows:

"The game is stored, executed, and rendered on a remote server and the video results are streamed directly to the computing device. This allows users to access games without regard to the capability of the user's computing device, as the remote server is responsible for storing, executing, and rendering the game."

A little further down there is a rather interesting statement:

"Current 5Gs system lacks the capability to provision interactive services for cloud rendering gaming in efficient and optimal manners."

According to the material, Apple's patent is supposed to eliminate the "inefficiency" described in the quote. Thanks to that, cloud gaming via 5G is to be characterized by better image quality and faster reactions to player commands. For details see the source information (link above) and the patent itself.
