Assetto Corsa 2 is in the Pipeline, but It's Not Coming Anytime Soon

The racing game series Assetto Corsa will get a new installment. Digital Bros. confirmed that the company is working not only on a mobile installment of the series, but also a full-fledged sequel under the title Assetto Corsa 2.

The quarterly report of Digital Bros. did not bring us any detail regarding the recently announced sequel of Ghostrunner. However, the document contained good information for fans of racing games. The owner of 505 Games confirmed that Assetto Corsa 2, a new installment of the racing game series from Kunos Simulazioni, is in development. The game's release is to take place in 2024.

Considering such a distant debut, no one will be surprised that Digital Bros' report features hardly any details about the new installment of Assetto Corsa. Instead, the company boasted of selling 12 million copies of all games in the series after the last year's console launch of Assetto Corsa Competizione. This brought in revenue of over 66 million euros, which probably affected the decision to create a sequel (and port Competizione to 9th-gen platforms; via autoevolution). This is not the only upcoming Digital Bros. product signed with the Assetto Corsa logo. The publisher is also preparing a mobile installment of the series, which will hit the market this summer. Unfortunately, here, too, the creators did not consider it appropriate to say something more about the game, despite the fact that we have already known about it since 2019.
