Atlas Fallen Devs Will Try to Avoid Forspoken's Fate; Release Delayed
The developers of Atlas Fallen have announced the postponement of the game's release. They argue their decision with the need to refine the game.
Atlas Fallen is a third-person action RPG set in a fantasy desert world. The German studio Deck13 Interactive, known, among others, for The Surge series or from its cooperation with CI Games on Lords of the Fallen, is responsible for the project. Unfortunately, the game's release, announced for this May, has been delayed. The new release date is August 10, 2023.
In an official announcement posted on the Twitter profile of the publisher (Focus Entertainment), the developers of Atlas Fallen thank the community for the warm reception of the game's recent trailers. Arguing for the postponement of the release date, they mention:
"Our goal has always been to create a memorable RPG experience with a unique design, exciting gameplay, and the option for full, unrestricted play with a friend in co-op mode. We are committed to spending a little extra time on the game to deliver the best possible version of Atlas Fallen."
The developer also assures that at the beginning of the summer it will share additional information about the development of the game. According to the assurances, a gameplay trailer will be made available during this period, as well as information related to the announced co-op mode. It remains to be hoped that the title will not share the fate of Forspoken.
Atlas Fallen will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
