Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora to Get 2 Big DLCs; Trailer Shows Upcoming Content
Although Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora isn't out yet, Ubisoft is already presenting the contents of a paid season pass for the game. It will include, among other things, two story expansions.
The release of the first-person action game Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is less than a month away. Like most of Ubisoft's other big games, the shooter starring representatives of the Na'vi race will also get a paid season pass. The studio provided a closer look at its content with a new trailer (below).
Andrada Greciuc, associate creative director of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, briefly outlined what the pass will offer.
The Season Pass for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will include, among other things, two major expansions and a bonus mission.
- The first "story pack," called Sky Breakers, will be released in the summer of 2024. Its action is to take place in new areas in the Highlands region. The gathering of several clans taking place there, attended by the main character and his "old friends", will be interrupted by a "great shadow" in the sky. The player will have to face the members of the Resource Development Administration organization who interrupted the festival.
- The second expansion is Secrets of the Spires, and it is scheduled to debut in the fall of 2024. It will introduce a brand new region in the Western Rim to the game. The DLC will focus on sky battles, in which the main character's banshee (mount) will be important. The player's task is to defeat the RDA, as the mine opened by this organization appears to be a threat to the Na'vi community.
- An additional task called Familiar Echoes is also included in the pass. The mission will be available on the release day of the base game and will involve sabotage at a RDA military base.
- Holders of the Season Pass will also get the Resistance pack. It will only provide cosmetic items, including weapons or a skin for the banshee.
If you want access to the Season Pass, you will need to purchase Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora's Gold or Ultimate edition. Most likely, after the game's release, Ubisoft will enable the purchase of the Season Pass as a separate DLC.
The developers also reminded about the bonus that those who decided to preorder will receive - we are talking about an equipment set and a skin for weapons. It is possible that (following the example of other Ubisoft games) they will be available for purchase with Ubisoft Points after the release.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be released on December 7 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/Ss. The game has recently gone gold, so its release should take place as planned.
