Battlefield 7 in Full Development. Electronic Arts Reveals First Concept Art and Confirms Some Gameplay Elements
The head of Respawn Entertainment studio, Vince Zampella, gave an interview to IGN in which he talked more about the new Battlefield. The next installment of the shooter is now in full production.

New information has surfaced regarding the upcoming installment of Battlefield, commonly referred to as Battlefield 7. They come from no one but Vince Zampella himself, the head of Respawn Entertainment studio. He recently gave an interview to IGN, where he talked about what the next shooter will be.
IGN not only provided us with an interview with Zampella but also revealed the first concept art from the next Battlefield. You can see it below.

As for the game itself, we got the following news:
- Battlefield 7 is to be set in modern times;
- Zampella noted that Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 were the pinnacles of the series;
- in the next installment, the maps are to be designed for a maximum of 64 players (it should be noted that in the latest Battlefield 2042, up to 128 people can play at the same time);
- character classes will return, and specialists will be removed;
- the developer emphasized that the creators must preserve the "core" of Battlefield, which is especially important to all long-time fans of the shooter.
However, the news that the full development of Battlefield 7 has begun is likely to be the most pleasing to fans of the series. The game may be announced soon unless Electronic Arts decides to reveal the title close to the release date. The earliest we can expect this is autumn 2025, although we will probably have to wait longer.
The "community program" mentioned by Zampella is definitely set to be announced next year. Its goal will be to engage players more. It's unclear what exactly it will involve, but we can speculate that it's something akin to closed tests.
