IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. BioWare's blog has published a post in which general manager Gary McKay summarized the last year of the studio's work;
  2. Player curiosity may be picked by a statement about Mass Effect 5's poster, which, according to McKay, contains a few surprises;
  3. Fans of Dragon Age once again received confirmation that the fourth installment will be a single-player RPG.

BioWare blog published an entry, in which studio's general manager Gary McKay shared some news. He touched upon such topics as the upcoming Mass Effect 5 and Dragon Age IV and the difficulties the studio has encountered due to the pandemic.

In view of the first item, McKay suggested the fans to take a closer look at the poster released on the occasion of this year's N7 Day. He claims, there are at least five surprises hidden in the artwork that hint at the future of the Mass Effect universe. Fans of the series did not leave this information unnoticed and first in-depth analysis of the poster have started surfacing around the web.

When it comes to Dragon Age IV we did not receive many details. The general manager of BioWare once again assured that a team of experienced developers is working on the game, so there is no need to fear that the project is in danger. Once again we also received confirmation that the fourth installment of Dragon Age will be a single player title based on the choices made by the players.

McKay also mentioned the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Old Republic - Legacy of the Sith - a new story expansion for the MMORPG, announced on the occasion of the game's 10th birthday. He is proud that the studio was able to create a game that has been successfully running for so long. McKay also announced a number of updates that will be coming to SW:TOR this year.

There was also a mention of the success of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. BioWare's manager is grateful for the incredibly positive reception of the trilogy's remaster and assures that upcoming titles will retain the same high quality.

The last issue raised by McKay is the ongoing pandemic. As we can read in the entry, working under such conditions is not easy. Nevertheless, the team managed to develop techniques and tools that enabled the staff to keep their positions in the studio and continue working. In addition, McKay continues to follow his goal of rebuilding BioWare's reputation, which has been, is and will remain a priority since he took over as general manager.
