Fans of the Mass Effect series looking forward to N7 Day shouldn't expect miracles. Studio BioWare has announced that this year's edition of the celebration will be more modest due to the recent release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Last week, Dragon Age: The Veilguard was released on the market. We already know that BioWare studio isn't planning any expansions for this game - the studio has now shifted all its attention to Mass Effect 5. Despite this, fans of the second of these franchises must arm themselves with patience.
It's not surprising that BioWare decided to tell players about this. The studio likely wants to prevent disappointed expectations. Last year's edition of N7 turned out to be very fruitful. A new short in-engine footage was shown, and news and hidden hint pages were prepared for Mass Effect 5. Fans had a lot of fun with it and many of them were hoping for a repeat this year.
BioWare obviously doesn't want to divert attention from Dragon Age: The Veilguard this time. The Mass Effect 5 is still said to be in the early stages of development (some sources even say that the release won't take place until 2029). Therefore, it's not surprising that the studio is being cautious about releasing new information about this project.
