Braid Anniversary Edition has been announced. The remaster will introduce a lot of new features and will be quite a treat for fans of one of the best indie games.
Braid is an acclaimed indie game, which is characterized by a specific graphic design reminiscent of watercolor paintings, an interesting story, puzzles and very atmospheric locations. Fans of Jonathan Blow's work can rub their hands in glee, because soon the market will see Braid Anniversary Edition - a full-fledged remaster introducing a lot of new features.
One of the most important features of Braid Anniversary Edition are new visuals, recreated from scratch and hand-painted. In the work on it participated David Hellman, the original creator of the graphics from the 2008 version. This, of course, is not the end of the changes. Also worth mentioning are:
Special edition of Braid will also offer the ability to switch to the old version.
"If you miss the old Braid, you can switch between the original and Anniversary Edition at any time by pressing the appropriate controller button or keyboard key. This changes not only the level of graphic detail, but also the sound effects and music, as well as additional elements in the scene."
Braid Anniversary Edition will debut on April 30 on PC, PlayStation, Xbox consoles and iOS and Android for Netflix subscribers.. Mac and Linux users will have to wait a little longer for the release (details are unknown).
The original Braid was released on August 6, 2008 for Xbox 360, April 10, 2009 for PC and on November 12, 2009 for PlayStation 3.. The game has an excellent average rating of 93/100 on Metacritic and 93% positive reviews on Steam.
