Chernobylite Release Date on PS4 and Xbox One

We already know when the owners of last-gen consoles will be able to play Chernobylite. The game by Polish studio The Farm 51 will be available to them in September.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • Chernobylite will debut on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 7.
  • Owners of current-generation consoles well be able to play the game on the same day (thanks to backward compatibility) or wait for a dedicated next-gen editon.
  • The PS5 and Xbox Series S/X versions of the game will hit the market later this year.

PC owners will be able to play the full version of Chernobylite in just six days, on July 28. Until now, however, the devs did not reveal when the game will be available to console players. Today, a specific date has finally been revealed - the game by The Farm 51 will appear on PS4 and Xbox One on September 7. However, owners of next-gen platforms have no reasons to be happy. In September they will only be able to launch the version designed for older hardware (as part of backward compatibility), while the enhanced edition, which is being developed for PS5 and Xbox Series S/X, will appear on the market later this year.

The console release date was revealed on the occasion of a new trailer. It focuses on comparing real locations in and around Chernobyl with their reproduction in the game. The material shows the power plant itself, an amusement park or the famous Eye of Moscow - the game will enable us to take a closer look at all the most famous objects from the Exclusion Zone.
