CoD MW2 Players Help Unlock Weapons for a Fee; Business is Booming

It turns out that some Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 players are making a good deal on unlocking hard-to-get weapons for others.

The M13B assault rifle is one of the most coveted - and most difficult to obtain - weapons available only in DMZ mode in Warzone 2.0. The only (standard) method to unlock this weapon is to participate in games of this type and kill a specific boss (in this case, the Chemist) and then claim his rifle.

There is only a small catch - there is only one M13B to pick up for all participants. So, given the availability of weapons and the level of difficulty of acquiring them, gamers with a knack for business have devised a clever way to sell rare rifles on eBay (via Eurogamer).

The business revolves around the fact that for an average amount of nearly 6 British pounds gamers arrange to join DMZ mode with a buyer and, in the course of the game, drop the gun, which the customer then picks up. And since the number of copies of the weapon is unlimited, you can make a good business out of it.

It's worth noting that the M13B rifle is not the only gun for which this way works. DMZ mode enables Call of Duty players to easily unlock any weapon from Modern Warfare II (recall that this game and Warzone 2.0 are linked), provided players manage to pick it up without dying.

As Eurogamer points out, Activision plans to include the rifle in a paid weapon bundle in the future. The price of the set may then fluctuate around 15 pounds, so the deal on eBay may prove to be more advantageous in many cases.
