Warzone Will Get New Anti-cheat and Map

The eyes of the whole world are on Call of Duty: Vanguard, but Activision is not forgetting about CoD: Warzone. The latter game will get a new anti-cheat system and a new map this year.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Warzone will receive a new anti-cheat system this year;
  2. The game will also get a new map;
  3. The map will debut on November 5, 2021 and will most likely be thematically related to CoD: Vanguard.

Yesterday belonged to Call of Duty: Vanguard, but during the game's reveal we also learned quite a bit about the future of Call of Duty: Warzone. The changes that are planned for this free-to-play game look promising.

First of all, the earlier rumors about a new anti-cheat system, which will debut later this year have been confirmed. This is the novelty that the fans have been waiting for a long time, as Warzone has a serious problem with cheaters. We expect the system to be implemented into the previous installments as well. For now, it has not been revealed whether Activison intends to use a ready-made third-party solution, such as Easy Anti-Cheat or BattleEye, or whether it will offer its own technology. The latter option, however, seems more likely given how long we've been waiting for a new anti-cheat system.

This year Call of Duty: Warzone will also see a new map. The devs did not reveal too many details, but they hinted that it will be a completely new battlefield and not a reworking of an old one, as it was the case with Verdansk '84.

The new map will be the biggest and most ambitious one to appear in the series so far. The level will appear in CoD: Warzone November 5, which is the release date of Call of Duty: Vanguard. It is expected that it will be thematically related to this year's installment. It is speculated that the map will be set in the World War II period. According to the reliable insider Tom Henderson, with its release Verdansk will disappear from the game, although probably not forever.

Also confirmed is the continuation of the universal progression system, where player rank and season passes will be common to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War, Call of Duty: Vanguard and Call of Duty Warzone.
