Star Wars: Outlaws received its first major update. Among other things, the developers introduced a cross-progression feature to the game. This is Ubisoft's way of trying to respond to player criticism.
There's no denying that Star Wars: Outlaws is getting a plethora of negative feedback from gamers. Moreover, some of its investors have also joined in the criticism of the French company, calling for management changes. Despite all these problems, the Massive Entertainment studio responsible for the discussed installment of Star Wars is tirelessly developing the title.
After a minor hotfix on PC that improved, among other things, VRAM usage, today the developers released the first major update, version 1.1.2, which introduces a new feature and some fixes and improvements. Some of them can be found below, while the complete list is available on Ubisoft's official website. The patch for Xbox Series X/S takes up 2.25 GB of space. It takes up slightly less space on PS5 (1.92 GB) and PC (1.89 GB).
Perhaps the next patches will improve the current situation of Star Wars: Outlaws, as the premiere of this game even contributed to Ubisoft's stock market collapse. Its reception may also slightly improve after the release of two expansions - Wild Card (November 2024) and A Pirate's Fortune (2025). However, it will be extremely challenging for the developers to persuade disappointed Outlaws fans to give it a try.
