CS:GO Removed from Steam? Valve Might be Up To Something [UPDATED]

The popular shooter CS:GO disappeared from Steam. For now, the reason for this is unknown – is it technical maintenance, or are the developers preparing some big announcement?

Update:

Unfortunately, it looks like it was just a bug that affected other productions as well, though. The game is now back on Steam.

Original message:

IN A NUTSHELL:

  1. CS:GO has disappeared from Steam;
  2. It's unclear at this time if this is a technical issue or if Valve is going to make an announcement.

It looks like Valve Software may be preparing a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive surprise. Why this surmise? The game's Steam page has disappeared, and the following message appears when you try to access it.

It's difficult to say what this message means at this point. It could be a technical issue of some kind, but as Twitter users have pointed out, the entire CSGO tab has been removed from the website, so it would have to be a major glitch.

The developers may also be planning an announcement related to the series, and the game might simply be replaced/updated with something new (and running on a newer version of the Source engine)? Could this mean a continuation such as Path of Exile 2 or Overwatch 2? We can only wait and see how the situation develops.
