Japanese studio Kojima Productions boasted of the number of copies sold of their latest game, Death Stranding. By the end of March this year, the title has sold a total of more than five million copies on PS4 and PC. Jay Boor, studio's publishing director, admitted that for the team's first stand-alone production this is quite a satisfactory result.
Boor also revealed a bit about the upcoming Death Stranding: Director's Cut, scheduled for September 5 (only on PS5). In addition to the novelties revealed during the July State of Play the improved version of the game is to feature and upgraded module thanks to which roads or bridges created by other people can appear in our game world (Social Strand System). Quoting Hideo Kojima, Boor admitted that this makes people feel less alone in the world of Death Stranding. More details on the new features of the Social Strand System are expected in the coming weeks.
