Best-selling FPS Deafens Players; Devs Warn of Boss Roars

Destiny 2 players have encountered a strange bug after the recent update. A certain boss emits a deafening roar when it kills one of the participants in the King's Fall raid.

After almost five years since its release, the shooter Destiny 2 has lived to see not only the announcement of the seventh DLC, but also probably the strangest bug in its history. The studio responsible for the game, Bungie, assures that it is working on a solution, and for now the players are posting funny videos on the Internet (via VGC).

In order to experience this bug, you need to go on a maximum six-player raid called King's Fall. One of the bosses that must be defeated as part of it is a large ogre known as Golgoroth (if you haven't played Destiny 2 since yesterday, you've probably defeated him many times before). After the game's latest update, he gained something of a new ability. He can deafen the players - and literally.

When the boss kills one of the raid participants, he lets out a terrifying roar - so loud that the developer working on a solution to the problem in question advises to turn down the volume for this clash, so as not to damage your eardrums. Some players may be doing just that. Others, however, share their traumatic experiences online. You can watch an example video below.

This is an obvious mistake, which will certainly be patched soon. Some players, somewhat ridiculously, insist that "it is not a bug, but a feature" - especially since Golgoroth's roar can only be heard by certain members of the team (nevertheless, their scream can cause panic in the rest of the team). So it is undoubtedly quite inconvenient, but does not prevent you from completing the raid and earning the rewards. Either way, the glitch needs to be fixed - as does the logging error that some Twitter users point out under the developers' message.

As a reminder, let me add that as of last week Destiny 2, currently an FP game, can also be played on Epic Games Store. On this occasion, players can pick up the "Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack."
