Spores are a crucial crafting ingredient in Atomfall. You’ll need at least 4 to make Strange Tonic, which is a lifesaver in toxic areas like Data Storage Alpha. So, let’s go over the best spots to gather spores and how to make sure you’re ready to pick them up. Just keep in mind that inventory space is limited but don’t worry, there’s an easy way to manage that.

Check out our other Atomfall guides on changing the language, powering radio towers, and everything you need to know about the Robotic Facility double door puzzle.

You’ve got a few ways to get your hands on spores in Atomfall:

  1. Trade with Mother Jago (she’s at The Old Mine in the northeast of Casterfell Woods) – this is by far the easiest and best option.
  2. From defeating Thralls and other mutated creatures.
  3. Harvesting them from blue flowers – but you’ll need Blue Fingers skill to pick them up.

How to get Blue Fingers skill in Atomfall

In Atomfall, you’ll need Skill Manuals to unlock new abilities. Each one teaches you something different. If you’re looking to learn Blue Fingers, you’ll need the Consumable Manual. You can buy it from Billy Gorse at the Trader Camp in Casterfell Woods, or you can find one inside the Bakery in Wyndham Village (upper floor). Just a heads-up – you’ll need the Bedroom Bakery Key, which you can grab from a desk in Wyndham Garage.

Besides the Druids’ Camp, where you can learn the Strange Tonic recipe, you can also find spores in areas infected by the Oberon fungus. Here are a few good spots to look:

  1. Interchange – Near the Quarantine Door.
  2. The Speaking Cave (23.0E, 85.4N) – Located in Casterfell Woods.
  3. Secret Tunnel (36.9E, 77.4N) – Found in Skethermoor.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
