Dune Awakening is an Online Survival Game in Cult Universe
Funcom has announced Dune Awakening, an online survival MMO set in the iconic universe.
One of the first games revealed during the gamescom 2022 Opening Night Live turned out to be Dune Awakening, a network game developed by Funcom and set in the popular science-fiction universe. For now, only the PC version has been confirmed, which will be sold on Steam. Currently, we do not know when the title will debut on the market.
The game is to combine elements of MMO and survival multiplayer game. The game will take place in a large open world, and the players' task will be to collect Spice. We will also deal with gathering other resources and constructing settlements.
The planet Arrakis is famous for its harsh conditions, so we will also spend a lot of time fighting for survival, limiting water consumption, taking care of the stillsuits and learning a special walking style to avoid drawing the attention of the sandworms. Players will be able to consume Spice, which will provide access to a variety of powers.
