Dying Light: Hellraid With The Prisoner Story Mode; Trailer Available

Released in August last year, Dying Light: Hellraid received a lot of new content. Techland added to the game i.a. a story mode called The Prisoner.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Dying Light DLC titled Hellraid received new content;
  2. New additions to the game include The Prisoner story mode, new weapon types and enemies, as well as lighting and sound enhancements.

The dust after the presentation of Dying Light 2, where we learned, among other things, the game's release date (December 7, 2021), has not yet settled, and Techland makes another move regarding the franchise. This time it's about new content, which, along with a new update, appeared in the expansion to the first installment of Dying Light, titled Hellraid. The DLC, released last year, moves us from the streets of Harran to mysterious underground crypts, where we have to face zombies, skeletons and other undead beings.

DLC got a new story mode - The Prisoner, in which we have three missions to complete solo or in co-op. In addition, two weapons were introduced to the game: The Tainted Justice bow and the large two-handed hammer called Bone Crusher, and new locations have been added. Hellraid also introduces a new enemy type - a skeleton with a large shield. Other changes include a better lighting system and additional ambient sounds. The devs have announced that the story mode will be systematically developed in subsequent updates, and 'the plot will be gradually uncovered'. Perhaps the development will improve the poor reception of the expansion on Steam a bit, where the reviews are mostly negative.

Dying Light: Hellraid is available on PC, as well as on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
